I just bought a new replacement engine for my stump grinder; a Honda GX390 QAA2. Turns out my old one was a Honda GX390 QNE2. Called the company and they said that the two engines are the same. The only difference is that the old one has an electric starter and the new one does not. He said That instead of me sending it back, I can put the electric starter from the old one on the new one. It would be cheaper and faster than sending it back and ordering the new one. This company is located in Indianan and I'm in California and I need the engine ASAP for my business and this sounds like my best option. Is this possible? Are the two engines the same?
