First you must clean the surface of the heads removing all gasket material, oil and sealants. Best way is with a wire brush. Follow the same procedure on the intake manifold. Use Black RTV sealant approved for oil and gasoline on the gaskets. Apply a light smooth coating around ports and bolt holes. Place gaskets on the heads to insure proper fit and allow 10-15 minutes for sealant to set up . Carefully set intake manifold in place and drop in four bolts to align it perfectly. Put the remaining bolts in and torque in sequence to proper foot lbs. (do not just tighten it down any ol way or you risk several problems) After running engine several hours check and retorque bolts. Google" ford intake manifold torque specs" for correct sequence and settings
