How to install klipsch sub woofer to yamaha reciever rx-v559. everything working properly but sub wont be adjusted with volume. i got my stuff moved out here but had a mate help me set up. didnt pull it apart but got it all back together but the sub doesnt get controlled by the volume
Does the sub work at all? How is it hooked up? The sub needs to be fed by an RCA cable from the Subwoofer Output jack for the receiver to control its output.
Specifically point-to-point where is it connected? Warning: one doesn't casually connect things to speaker connections.
If the Sub is self-powered (has RCA jack) it should have ONLY an RCA cable running from the Sub Out of the receiver connected to the RCA input on the sub, NO speaker cables.
For any modern AV Receiver you should try to understand how it works for maximum enjoyment of it. Speaker connection is fairly standardized, but set-up is unique to each maker and model. To define the speaker types and sizes and set the relative volumes you need to dive into the manual, available at retreveo.com for free after you register.
Once the sub is connected correctly you will have only bass going to it and the volume control will work for it.Let's start again:
