How to keep Dish Remote from truning of Dish reciever when turning off TV
I would like the Dish receiver to go into standby mode so that show still can be recorded but when I need to leave the house and turn off the TV the Dish receiver also shuts down rather than going into standby. How a I correct this issue? I am using the Dish standard universal remote with my TV programmed into that remote.

I can definitely assist you with this. What button do you press when you turn off the TV? Have you tried pressing 'SAT' then the big red 'Power' button on the remote?
