How to open Top-plate of Pentax MG
My Pentax MG has not used for many years. I tried to checked for its functionality and work just fine, but I saw strange object in the viewfinder. It's like drop off a piece of metal-plate. I tried to find a service shop how can repair here but come out w no result.
So, the only way is DIY, but how to open the top plate ? Many thanks for the advice.

Sounds like the pressure plate for the viewfinder lens has dropped in front of the lens. If the viewfinder surround is craked this is very likley.

Dust speck on fresnel lens, has no effect on print quality. But it is annoying. You can get a can of compressed air at any photo shop and try to blow it out of the way, just be VERY careful you don't hit the shutter blades. Point the air only in the front by the lens mount.
