To check for a properly working remote do the following: Get an AM radio and tune it to around 600 on the dial. Then take the suspect remote and push each button. Every button that works will result in a beeping sound coming from the radio - you can even fine tune the radio for loudest beep. This will identify all working and non working buttons. For non working buttons open remote and clean contacts on board and buttons with swab moistened in alcohol. Or try rubbing pencil graphite on the board contacts and bottom of remote buttons. Sometimes a small piece of aluminum foil inserted into the remote button depression will do the trick. Good luck!
