After someone slamming the liftgate, the latch won't open no matter what I do and it seems something is broke inside the black metal box where the latch mechanism meets the door striker. According to the service manual I have to open the liftgate first to replace the latch. Manually pulling the lever inside the liftgate doesn't work. What can I do?
