1. RH SIDE Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Remove the air cleaner case. Remove the spark plug cords by pulling the boot. (Do not pull the cord itself.) Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.
2. LH SIDE
Remove the battery Remove the spark plug cords by pulling the boot. (Do not pull the cord itself.) Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.
INSTALLATION
1. RH SIDE Install in the reverse order of removal. Tightening torque:21 N.m (2.1 kgf-m, 15.2 ft-lb)
NOTE: The tightening torque described above should be applied to only new spark plugs without oil on their threads. In case their threads are lubricated, the torque should be reduced by approx. 1/3 of the specified torque in order to avoid over-stressing.
2. LH SIDE Install in the reverse order of removal. Tightening torque:21 N.m (2.1 kgf-m, 15.2 ft-lb)
NOTE: The tightening torque described above should be applied to only new spark plugs without oil on their threads. In case their threads are lubricated, the torque should be reduced by approx. 1/3 of the specified torque in order to avoid over-stressing.
Remove the air intake manifold and remove the windshield water tank.
Do not disconnect the hoses to the intake manifold and washer tank. If you have to disconnect any hose of wiring, label them or take pictures, sot that you will be able to connect them back.
Grab the spark plug connectors and gently turn and pull backward, so to release the connector from the spark plug.
Unscrew the spark plug from the well in the motor block, and then pull it out. Do this for each spark plug.
apply antiseize paste around the the new spark plug, inside the boot, and on the well edges.
Screw back in the spark plugs, you should adjust the spark plug tension according to the specification leaflet provided with the spark plugs.

- Trun the Engine off and put the hand brake.
- Remove the air intake manifold and remove the windshield water tank.
