That's right, if it is within it's warranty period, return it. On the other hand if it is out of warranty and you are somewhat mechanically inclined, you can open it up. The screws are in the bottom of the unit under the feet. Take them out, open it up and you will see there are connector(s) on the circuit board you see 1st. Unplug the connectors, clean things up as you go also. Do take note of the orientation of the connectors. Once that board is out, you will see another smaller one under it, and the motor w/mechanical parts attached. The small circuit board is the optic that senses the position, likely has tobacco dust obstructing it. Either remove it and dust it off, or use some canned air and blow things out. While in that far, check the mechanical parts for wear, they should not be too loose. There is play in them, but not sloppy. Hope that helps :)

The machine came on when u pushed level down the part u put tubes on was not sliding out i took apart need help putting it back together properly

Unfortunately, that didn't do it. Now it releases even earlier than before
Sounds like an electrical problem. Return it the powermatic 2 has a 1 year warranty.
