Hello, It is a long time since I replaced a door switch on this unit but normally if you have small hands it can be done from the top and reach down and hold switch whilst undoing screws through front. If you are referring to the latch on the door itself then yes you do have to take door off machine.Take screws out but make sure they have captive nuts or you may lose parts inside.Take door to a bench or table and remove screws around frame then you will have to carefully prise outer frame from inner being careful not to force it.Go around edge gently with 2 screwdrivers.Take care to observe how old latch is set into door with springs then replace with new one.
