What is the make and model of the "pump"? Gould is a motor manufacturer. The manufacturer of a pump, will use a third-party vendor like Gould, to provide them a motor for their pump. Gould is Century/Magnetek, which is now AO Smith.
BUT... remove pump housing/volute covered, and access the impeller. Then on the back of the motor you should be able to access the shaft. Lock up the shaft so it does not spin, and then unthread the impeller. Some pumps, especially two speed pumps, will have a locking screw in the center of the impeller. That screw will be counter threaded or backwards thread. It keeps the impeller from spinning off the shaft during normal operation between high and low speeds.
again if we had more specific information, we would be able to assist you better.
