First you will need to remove the band clamp around the pump. Seperate the two half's then remove the five screws holding the difuser on the rear half. Next check to see if their is a screw in the center of the impeller. If so you will need to remove this and it will be a left hand thread so it will unscrew in a clockwise direction. Next you will need to open the back of the motor. Either a half dollar size cap on the center of the back or a cover that goes over the whole end of the motor. Ether was the end of the shaft will have two flat sides that will fit a wrench. Hold the shaft and the impeller will unscrew in the normal fation or counterclockwise. You may need to put a screwdriver in the fin of the impeller and hit sharpley with a hammer to get it started. The seal will be on the shaft. You can pull the first half off with pliers and the inner half or ceramic can be poped out with a screwdriver. Lube the shaft and install the new seal. Then hand spin the impeller on just hand tight. reassemble the rest and install new "O" rings as you go. Fill with water and you are all set to go.
To do this, you have to turn off the system and the circuit breaker to the pump. You should also close any valves that you can so you do not loose water from the pool.
In the Owner's Manual, page 11 and 12, there are instructions on how to change that seal. If you do not have a manual, follow the link below.
