To set it to record in the DNG format, select the resolution to 10MP. This is done in the Picture Parameters Menu (select Resolution 5.2.5) and then pick one of the DNG format options. They will be the second and third choices. The first option will just record jpegs.
The second choice will give you only the DNG or RAW file. The third choice will do a DNG and also a jpeg file.
The compression setting of the jpeg file (if you select option two above) is also set in the Picture Parameters menu but on the next menu choice (select compression 5.2.4). You can choose from the jpeg resolutions there.
Nice to see all these views for the solution, but wondering if anyone would be willing to rate it? All you have to do is click the "thumbs up" or "Yes" button.
Also, there is some nice Leica material on Ken Rockwell's website. He's done some great comparisons between the Leica and the top line Nikon and Canon DSLR's. It shows the finer points where the Leica has strength over the SLR's. Nice to see all these views for the solution, but wondering if anyone would be willing to rate it? You're quite welcome. Don't forget to look at Ken's website, and if I had the right answer (pretty sure I did, give me the four thumbs....
Thanks!!
