How to take apart case and back flush heat exchange fins
I am trying to clean out the fan unit on my central air conditioner. I have removed all the sheet metal screws. The fan head is attached to the top cover of the heat exchange unit, I want to flush out the debri that is pulled into the fins of the heat exchanger. Is there an exploded view of the base unit - which side walls can be removed ? How do I remove the top with the fan head, so I can take the hose and back flush the debris ? Any help would be most appreciated. The system is a WeatherKing Scroll compressor - Select 12 unit. George

You do not have to remove the coils. Just carefully lift the top with the motor and set it aside (power off). Spray the outside with a foaming cleaner (Dow bathroom) and flush from inside out.
No, there should be enough slack to lift it and set ajar.
