You cannot fix the "red rings of death" by yourself. you'll need to send it off to microsoft to be refurbished or replaced. if you bought yours new it should have come with a three year warranty that microsoft started issuing after the "rrod" problem became commonplace. if you no longer have a warranty you might could find a qualified tech to replace it but i doubt the cost would be worth it; considering a new "core" 360 cost $199 now...
