How to turn on turntable on Philco Turntable CD Player
I bought a used Philco Turntable CD with Cassette Player, Article No. 841-205. The CD part plays perfectly with excellent sound, but I can't get the turntable to work. How do I turn it on other than switching the knob? I haven't tried the tape player because I don't have any tapes.

Just pull the arm back a little bit, the turntable should then start.
