How to unclog the macerator - Saniflo TurboFlush P
Someone has flushed baby wipes down our toilet and it now make a very 'basey growling' while macerating. It still seems to pump the water away, but we have stopped using for now as the 'growl' does not sound healthy. What I need to know is what steps/precautions should I take before opening it up to clear out the culprit?
BTW, I have shut off the power to it.

First unplug the unit from the GFI, remove all the piping attached to the pump, remove the pump completely out the back of the toilet. Pry open the lid with a flat head screw driver, remove 2 screws in front of the pump and the motor and pressure chamber can be pulled out the top as one piece. Inspect the blades (on top of motor) also inspect the impeller which is at the bottom of the motor, you must turn the black pump cover plate counter clock wise to unlock it and inside there you will find the impeller. Also check the drain pipe for obstructions.
You will need rubber gloves, a wet vac, a T15 torx screwdriver, a medium size crossheadscrewdriver a medium size flathead screwdriver and a rubber mallet.Dont forget to look underneath the cutting blade in the actual impeller bowl as well for any wipe.
