I am not sure about M1132nf. But my M1211nf had the same problem. Here is the fix.
Turn off the power and unplug the power case - always!!!
If you open the flatbed cover, you will see that the LIGHT bar is all the way at the end and it won't move back. Use STAR-shade screwdriver to remove screws around the rim. There are 2 screws under the plastic rim (different size). Lift the glass cover slightly and move the Light Bar to the middle. Close the glass cover and turn on the power.
If it works, turn the power off and put back all screws.

Try another computer to see if the issue is with your computer or the printer!
