HP Officejet 6310 drivers will not install
HP Officejet 6310 All in One drivers will not install. The printer is connected to a working USB port on the computer and the drivers are all up to date and downloaded from the HP site. The install goes fine up until it tries to detect the Printer. Even though the printer is on and the USB is connected, it gets about 2/3 of the way done and freezes. This has happened all three times we've tried to install the printer.

When you install the printer wait till you are prompted to hook up the usb cable. If you hook it up sooner that is the problem. You can have the usb cable to printer but not to the computer. Then run your install disc and you should be fine.
