Hp pavilian f1703 monitor
When i hit the menu button to take the contrast and brightness button to go off the monitor it does not go away I have to stick a piece of paper in the control button so it is not on the screen

Just press the MENU button and the BRIGHTNESS button "simultaneously", and ....... magically the stubborn brightness box went away for good !
Press the menu button again (or when done adjusting) and it will go away.
