After speaking to a computer repair shop, it was explained to me that the win 10 up grade causes problems as it up grades an existing system( compatibility problems ) . It was stated that if the win 10 was installed properly as the operating system in it's own right there is no problems
I suggest that you speak with a repair shop and see if that information is correct
basically it is this you could not up grade win xp to win 7 even if you had sp 3 for xp so to upgrade win7 to win 10 and not expect problems is a big ask
