Hp t250 camcorder turns on but the screen immediately goes black after about a second. I've tried it without the battery and sd card installed and it does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated
No, like mine the battery is bad. the camera does not run on AC pack alone or missing battery or ,dead or bad or shorted battery, or weak.
the battery must be good. or Cam is dead. the battery takes 4 hours to charge (per RTM manual) if your 8 year old camera has 8 year old battery it will be no good now, this old, just like all portable devices with batteries that old,.
the camera's are battery only device. they do not make that clear in the manual on my cam I proved this by reading the spec on camera for power drain and learned in 5min work that the power pack does not have enough power to run the camera and charge the battery at the same time. it is just charge only pack and 4 hours to do that did you wait 4 hours?
