Using the Encore print server w/HP-LJ2100 parallel printer works fine on my network with WINXP and WIN2K machines, but my new Vista laptop can't print. HP's vista driver installs (as local printer), and Encore software wizard "finds" the printer port and reconfigures the printer on the Vista laptop, but when I print a document or test page, it sits in a print queue forever.

Does anyone know how to get this print server to work with a Vista OS machine? Or... how to get HP Laserjet 2100 to print on a Vista machine, if that's the root problem. Cannot connect them directly, as the machine has no parallel port, and printer has no USB port!! Help!!
