Hubby changed oil, but it wont start. he thinks he might have changed the transmission oil instead. what can we do? will it be expensive to get the valve?
If he doesnt know the difference between engine oil and transmission fluid, he should probably avoid changing any more fluids. He should be able to check the transmission fluid level and oil level to make sure both are correct. If there is engine oil in the transmission then it needs to be drained before you run it. Fill with trans fluid and drain again. Then fill with fluid and hope for the best. I would start by checking all fluids to be correct and at proper levels. I'm not sure what you mean about "the valve".
