Humidifier fan blades stopped turning
I have a 2-gal Duracraft evaporative humidifier, (DH#803) that I've had for maybe 10 years. Last year I had problems with the fan blades not turning quickly when I turned it on. Then eventually they would get up to speed. This year the fan blades turned very slowly and then stopped, despite the motor running normally. Then the motor started to burn. Of course I turned it off. Is this a lubrication issue and is there a way to easily lubricate it? I have looked closely and it seems the plastic casing would need to be taken apart, not without some effort. There is no clear place to add lubrication. Is it worth it?
