I am a supervisor, when I cover someone else's shift who is on a lower rates of pay should I get there rate of pay. I feel so should I have been informed first
Depends on your employer attitude to decency you are employed at a rate of pay to do the job of supervisor I an employee on a lower rate of pay doesn't come to work and you have to fill in , you are still employed as a supervisor and the pay rate should not drop while you are covering a shift That is why you should be in a union so that it can be sorted out The next question you should be asking is --if you act in a higher position while a manager is absent will you get the higher rate of pay for that position If the answer is no then you should not get less for a lower paid position either
