I am a woman so don't shoot me. I ran out of gas yesterday I went inside the store 4 about 45 mins came out tried to crank no luck. I went across the street to eat stayed about an hour. I got some gas tried to crank no luck, tried again and it wouldn't even turn over. When I tried to crank it the check engine light came on and the vta light was flashing slowly which means it's armed but I didn't do anything to arm it. I then tried hitting the lock and unlock on my key pad still no luck. So I tried to open and close my lft gate still no luck please help me

Don't worry, I won't shoot you. The 1st thing you have to do is have the battery checked. It sounds like it needs a charge or more likely replacement. If you can remove the battery and bring it to a parts store they can perform a free check on its condition to determine if it just needs to be charged or if it is shot and should be replaced. Is this the original battery? If it is, it is definitely time to replace it. The battery not being able to turn the car engine over probably explains the flashing alarm light-So, check the battery, I believe it is time to replace it. Try not to let the tank get too low, as sometimes you pull in sediment in the bottom of the tank, and can plug up the fuel filter. Let me know how you make out, and if you need further help.
