I am consistently getting a room temp rather than child temp on three of my five children. The other two I get accurate readings on every time, so I know how to take it properly. Any advice?

I am consistently getting a room temp rather than child temp on three of my five children. The other two I get accurate readings on every time, so I know how to take it properly. Any advice?

If this is the case I suspect a malfunction in the thermometer that you are using. If it is digital then replace the battery
If it is mercury or alcohol then I would use another unit to verify that the thermometer is functional
