I am creating a calendar in caledar creator in prinshop 23 deluxe. I have multiple events to add to many of the days. When I add a single event I can use box. When I add multiple events I have to use banner to get them in the box for that day. When I print, the box events print fine, but the banner events cut off part of the last character on the right side. My printer is a Xerox Phaser 7500 color printer. I must be missing a setting or something. But I can't figure it out. Help! Thank You Joe Longmire
enable banner printing and fit to page (in the print preview dialogue).
in the print preview dialogue turn on cutting border so you can see where your printer stops printing. adjust this until it fits or use the settings above.
The printer has a small margin on either side of the page that can't be printed on. You can try either setting the "fit to page" option, as sometimes even when the page appears to fit, it does not...or you can try to manually decrease the width of the page. You typically want at least .3 inches on either side, top, and bottom.
The margin on the side of the calendar cell is erased if you place a banner item next to another banner item on consecutive days to extend the text beyond what is normally visible in the cell. I believe it creates overlapping or layered text boxes or something causing the error. It appears that there are several quirks like this in the Express version of the software that comes with Print shop, the full blown version of Calendar Creator may or may not have the same issue, but many have said it fixes several of the issues like the orientation problem with the artwork. You may want to try printing to a PDF file first and then printing the document from that to see if you can get the under-layer of text to print as well. The margin on the side of the calendar cell is erased if you place a banner item next to another banner item on consecutive days to extend the text beyond what is normally visible in the cell. How about using a different font. Something non bulky? I am going to try and re-create it meanwhile. How about using a different font. Something non bulky? I am going to try and re-create it meanwhile.
I created a wide calendar from scratch and used insert headline and just readjusted size by draggin handles and it worked ok for me. let me know if that helps.I created a wide calendar from scratch and used insert headline and just readjusted size by draggin handles and it worked ok for me. let me know if that helps.
