I am experiencing a small problem. My pump motor does not operate consistantly all the time. There are times when the controls sends a signal for the motor to start-up. You can hear the HUMMMM of the motor, then is kicks off the dedicated circuit breaker to the tub. However, if when you reset the circuit breaker and lightly tap the motor housing it will allow the motor to start. This has been happening since I started up this summer, about 2 weeks ago. On Friday night when I got home the control panel was showing "5n". The manual states this is a non functional high temp sensor. I unplugged the tub to see if it would reset...it didn't. I also added about 20 gallons of cold water hoping to cool down the spa..thant didn't work. I kinda remember thsi happening a few years back...and all I did was add cold water and it reset itself. Any helpful suggestions woudl be greatly appreaciated

I would check your sensor connections on the circuit board & also check the wires leading to the sensor(s) (temp as well as hi limit) during the winter mice love to chew on these things. If the spa finds a problem with any of the sensors it will protect itself & shut down
Most likely you received the Hi temp signal, because you had no flow due to the pump stopping. You could have a problem with the control system for the pump motor, or the motor could be having problems. If this motor has a capacitor, it could be failing causing the motor not to start. The bearings could be going bad, and that's keeping it from starting.
