Called Rheem and after giving them the info they are shipping out a replacement board which I can install, hopefully today..to overcome the hot water problem for the short term I disconnected the remote wires at the heater which lets the heater keep producing hot water albeit without the remote...I will keep the old board as backup in case this happens again as there seems to be problems with the PCB
recently our heater started shuting down and at first showed c4 76 then c7 76. after searching a while I found this info about a bad PCB and a temporary fix by disconecting the remote control. so far it seems to funtion ok with the remote disconected but I haven't checked what temp it will maintain yet?recently our heater started shuting down and at first showed c4 76 then c7 76. after searching a while I found this info about a bad PCB and a temporary fix by disconecting the remote control. so far it seems to funtion ok with the remote disconected but I haven't checked what temp it will maintain yet?
