I am having trouble getting power to my new cd player. I have the orange battery wire hooked up, and also the ground wire is hooked up, and there is a red wire on the cd player that is a Ignition wire. Where does this wire need to be wired to?
2 wires for power- one that is ALWAYS connected (remembers time, preset stations, etc.), and the other one you hook up to your ignition circuit (allows your radio to come on only when the key has been turned to ACC or RUN).
When you have wired this correctly, your radio will only come on when the ignition key is in ACC or RUN, and will ALSO remember the preset radio stations and the time, etc., when the key is turned off then back on again.
If you look at your fusebox, look for an ACC (accessory) junction that you can tap into. Also, don't forget that it's important to put a fuse in any wire you connect to a 12v+ source; don't rely on the fuse you are tapping into.

Hope this helps.
