do you have a make and model of your thermostat? If so, I can be better able to answer that question. In the meantime, you can always use EMER HT mode for heating. If you use the regular heat mode, it will run your air conditioner until the temperature drops enough that the electric heaters kick in. We may be able to do something different with that thermostat to make it more user friendly, but I'll need that thermostat information first. I'll look forward to hearing back from you. :-)do you have a make and model of your thermostat? If so, I can be better able to answer that question. Hi Cmarks....................... regarding the warm air from your furnace in COOL Mode, see if the larger of the two refrigerant lines is cold to the touch at the indoor air handler. If so and it is still blowing warm air, check your electric strip heaters and make sure they are not on. Without specific thermostat and air handler/condensing model number information, I am unable to specify exactly how to wire your system. If you can get me that information, I will be happy to assist your further. :-)Hi Cmarks....................... regarding the warm air from your furnace in COOL Mode, see if the larger of the two refrigerant lines is cold to the touch at the indoor air handler. Same as heat pump with the exception you will only be using two thermostat wires. C & Y. They will power the contactor coil.
