I am not getting as much heat as I should be. The dealer indicates a small leak into # 2 cylinder thru the intake manifold, but the heat should still be there, also they say the thermopstat is OK. sometimes the heat gauge does not indicate heat, but there is heat, other times it's fine. I think there is a bad connection with the gauge. Gary
The heater core is the highest point in the cooling loop, so as you lose anti freeze the heater core is the first thing that dosen't get any hot water, and if you lose enough fluid the thermo couple will not be under water so that even though your engine is hot the gauge won't read correctly. get that leak into the cyl. fixed, it's going to give you trouble until you do.
