Irons - Rowenta - Effective DX1900 Iron with Auto Shut-off
I agree...for a "top of the line" iron, their quality is sagging. Consumersearch.com said customers only rated this iron a 3.5 of out 5, due to the breakdowns, leaks, and loss of steam. Here's a review from their site:
uzzillions.com As of June 2010 Iron Reviews by Contributors to Buzzillions.com Credibility Rating{?}Our AssessmentMost of the irons here have only a handful of reviews, but the website does a nice job of identifying the top-ranked models. The Panasonic NI-L70SR is the highest ranked steam iron with a near-perfect... rating from almost 20 owners. The Rowenta Focus Iron takes fifth place with an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 from about 40 owners, and the Rowenta Advancer DZ9080 has a similar score. Owners mainly agree these Rowenta irons heat up quickly and produce professional results.
You might check out the Panasonic- it sounds pretty impressive. WalMarts often carry Panasonic irons.
