I am printing a pantone 7476C color. The areas on the left side of the page using this color gradually lighten in color as they approach the left side. All (very expensive) toners have been replaced recently. Any suggestions?

The fusor is just the heating unit that melts the plastic toner onto the paper. If this is going out then the printed edge that is fading out should be rough or even dusty. You should be able to rub off some of the print. If thats the case then this needs to be replaced.
If the print is normal (ie it all sticks and isn't dusty) then it is being caused by the image drum. That is going to be real expensive to replace compared to the toners.
The last thing that I can think of that causes this is that the toner is not even in the cartridges. Usually you only get this if the toner clumps or you have printed a lot along that side or the printer has been bumped or knocked. You can fix this one if there is enough toner by taking the carts out giving them a side to side shake to even out the toner and put them back in. Just make sure to keep them level as much as you can. The toner is a real fine powder than can flow or move.
This problem that some prints are faded or lighten colors is caused by driver failure. It is not with the toner. The only solution is to update your printer driver.
Go to control panel, choose printer and faxes, choose printer properties, choose driver update. Be sure your connected to internet before clicking the driver update button to get the latest driver updates.
When finished, restart your computer and try to print again.
Sometimes, toner power get stuck up. You have to shake it well the cartridge inorder to distribute the powder evenly.
Another is if you can go to print quality and change the print quality to photo quality or image quality. Because normally, text quality gives your lighter print out.
I hope it solves your problemHi

Tab display like FILE, PRINT, PROPERTIES, MAIN, QUALITY.
Choose quality and if the print is set to text, choose text and photo quality. It gives you better printing.
From here also, go to properties, and there is driver update buttom here. Just update when connected to internet.
Another solution is to chance the quality of paper. Change it to substance 60/50 like this. then try to print if it solves your problem.
Good Luck Hi

During shipping the toner inside the cartridges settle or cluster in one area of the cartridge and the printing become uneven. Sometime it might just require a "shake" to spread the toner evenly - give that a shot. Otherwise, the cartridge you purchased may have a problem.

This will either be the fusor or the image drum.
