I AM REPLACING A 3 WAY WITH A LEVITON TRUE TOUCH 3WAY DIMMER. IT APPEARS AS THOUGH THE OTHER 3WAY IS ACTING AS A SWITCH FOR THE DIMMER. IF THE OTHER SWITH IS "ON" THEN THE DIMMER WORKES FINE BUT WHEN THAT SWITCH IS "OFF' THE DIMMER DOES NOT WORK
The other switch should only be changing from one wire being hot when it is in the up position to a second wire being hot when it is in the down position. Then the new dimmer should be hot on one terminal when the other switch is up and on a different terminal when it is down. I'm not sure how the Leviton dimmer works, though. Gary
