I am replacing an older Linksys G router with a new D-Link N router. Will the existing receivers in my laptops and desktop computers need to the replaced too?

No, they do not have to be replaced. The DLink N router is retro-compatible with the b and g standards. When you configure your router just do not go out of your way to force it to use the N-mode. If you do not, it will adopt a mixed mode to accommodate the hardware it finds.
The existing receivers will not need to be replaced. Just install your new router. I would recommend setting a user name and password for the router and securing your wireless connection as well. If you need any help with the following let me know. Cheers,
