I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with a Netgear wireless adapter. My router is protected by WPA - PSK (AES). The adapter keeps losing the signal when it gets hot. Can you help me?

Ventilation is the problem of your netgear wireless adapter losing signal when it gets hot, you will need to get a good place that the ventilation is cool and cold enough to help cool the adapter.
I work in an ISP company, anytime the our air conditionig in the server room breaks down, we experience bad internet services because the internet will either be very slow or not going at all, ll we use to do is to makesure the server i protected by getting a a standing fan standby near the server incse of the ac failure.
So, your case is very glaring to me that, the ventilation is the problem, you will need to get a cool or cold environment to work with your adapter, with this, it will never get hot and lose signal.
