I am setting up the programs I want to record but it keeps sending the recording to TV1 which is the tuner my wife usually tunes into. How can I select TV2 for what I want to record ahead in time? It looks like I can only select which tuner to record it on only if it is being recorded at the moment its being transmitted

You can change the preference that you have set up and have it record to TV2. Go to Menu, then 8 - Preferences, and 5 - Record Plus. Change it to enabled, if not already, and TV2 for preference.
