Hi there James here I am trying to get my jcb 214 Back hoe running. The motor starts for about five seconds then stalls out, after that it will not start, a half hour later i can do the same thing. I have drained out all the diesel and repaced it with new diesel, repalced the fuel filter, removed the intake filter.
one note the old filter was only half full when I removed it, the new filter was filled to the top and the engine did run for about 30 seconds with the pedal half way down. when I removed the new filter it was only about 3/4 full.
I also found a plastic resevoir/cup that had broke of a fixture mounted just back of the fuel filter, Not sure what it is. size is 2.25 by 2.5 with a drain screw on the bottom, glass was dry inside dirty.
