I borrowed a evenflow portable cot and my grandson has broken the fitting on the side bar can this be repaired. The lady who owns the cot is not impressed that this happened Hope you can help me
To find the model number look on the headboard at the rear There should be a Warning Lable . This label has the model number on it. Go to the website i gave you and enter the model and the date of manufacture if that was also on the label and you will be taken to the parts list and be able to order.
I am assuming that the object to which you refer is possibly the piece that follows the track to raise the rail. The piece is sort of cylindrical with a type of head of a nail or screw piece that fits into the track and eventually terminates in a ? piece of steel that hold the rail up. Failing to get the part is not the end of life. A bit of DIY or a good handyman could remove the part repair the rail if it was broken by using wood filler or plastic cement. re drilling the hole and using ARALDITE to re-cement the piece into place so that it functions again.
If it was so eay to break it has me wondering about the safety factor of this item. Children often hang on the rails when they wake up. if this fell with the effort of a child it needs great thought on how to make it safer don't you think so?
Thank you for the opportunity to assist you Dennis
