I bought a Lixin N1 Chinese clone phone and now it does not allow me to dial. I surfed the internet and found that this is a software bug which can be repaired if I entered Engineer mode. However I do not know the code needed to get into Engineer mode. Could you help me, please? Regards, Julia Weisz
Julia, Only the Chinese can help you. To the best of my knowledge, these Chinese phones do not have any support as far as the firmware goes. There are no sites that can help you and the local dealers tell you in advance that there is no warranty. Sorry for the information, but what cant be cured must be endured. Software bug means that the firmware must be reinstalled for which there is no support.
I don't think the Engineering mode the site was telling you about is about code. And even if it is a code, how do you enter the code since you said the phone would not allow you dial.
I think it means you should flash the phone. Once a phone is having a software problem, the solution is to flash it.
Flashing is a process where your phone is connected to a computer with a cable, already the software of your phone must have been installed into the computer, and the computer would be used to reinstall the software on the phone.
At this point, I think you need to give the phone to an expert to help you flash the phone to resolve the problem once and for all.
