I bought a qpix PS970 scanner. it is only 3 months old. The front input for the power lead has disappeared inside the machine. How can I open it up to retrieve and reposition it?

If that is a common problem with the scanner, I'd just use little super glue and fix it permanently, after all it's not am expensive item and will save sending it in for repair if it comes apart after guarantee is over. In other words, a drop of super glue will avoid a super 'lemon' ha ha
If this is a manufacturing fault as opposed to accidental damage you should be able to obtain an exchange or repair if you return it to the shop you bought it from. Hope this helps.
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I have done this and obtained a replacement. I am worried, however, that as warrantee only lasts from the first purchase, this will happen again and I will eventually have a useless machine. (Guess I had better get all my scanning done before it runs out.) CheersThank you very much for your suggestion. I have done this and obtained a replacement. Mary If you are located in the UK the scanner should be fit for purpose and if the same thing happens again it would be deemed to be a manufacturing fault and you should be okay to go back and claim it again. There is a similar type of legislation that exists in the European Union. What I would suggest is to contact someone who can give you consumer advice within your country. Regards
