I bought a rieju rs3 125 and I was riding it, as I stopped to turn it off, and tried to turn it back on again there was no lights on the speedometer pretty much like the battery went dead but it couldn't have because the bike let's you bump start it so I'm thinking it something to do with the speedometer faulty?
This might take you a while to read through. Feel free to ask questions. Check the obvious stuff first. Do you need to ‘bump’ the bike every time you use it? Does the bike live outside in a wet part of the world? Damp is the enemy of electrics! Is the battery fully charged? Does it hold that charge? Batteries often only have a working life of around 5 to 6 years. Check the main fuse is OK. It’s usually mounted somewhere near the battery. Will it start on the button? If not listen very carefully to it when you press the start button. What do you hear? The Starter motor trying? A simple “clunk” noise? or nothing at all? Sometimes starter motors or the main switch, (solenoid), can fail. Starter motors use a lot of voltage to turn them so worn ones can dim the dash lights as it tries to spin. You might need to take the front fairings off to check all the connectors are clean and tight to the back of the speedo and for access to the back of the switches. If these all check out as OK you’ll need a multimeter to start checking stuff. You’ll be testing voltage, continuity, and resistance so if your not sure how to do this suffer the pain and pay an expert to do it.This might take you a while to read through. Inspect wire harness for flaws or bad connects..it takes patience...cud b just a wornfuse or relay
It depends how old the rs3 is. Sometimes a faulty voltage regulator can cause dash issues. Might be Worth checking this first. Could be a cheaper fix.
