I bought a schumacker sc-200a smart charger a little over a year
It has worked fine until just the last 2 times.. The battery is not bad - I have tried it on other battereies I know are good and tested with volt ohm meter. The volts are correct, but it does not want to chg. example... it says it charging a 12 volt battery, but it charges at a lower rate than the exilsting voltage .. ea. 7.5 volts or 9.2 volts.etc.
can I get this repaired or will you take this in trade for a newer one.
Thanks Roy

Lower output voltages from the charger indicates that there is too much load current being drawn from the input side of the charger....this is usually caused by open filter capacitors on the secondary side after the bridge rectifiers or as you call them (diodes).....because this filter opens, the voltage becomes unregulated and the battery under charge tries to draw all of the available current from the transformer through the diodes only...so the voltage will drop......yes, it can be repaired...and by the way, measuring your battery with only a voltmeter to measure volts is not an indication of a good battery....you must measure voltage and current.....current is more important......you can measure even a million volts but if the current is zero then you still have a bad battery........good luck
Hello. I have a similar problem with the charger model SSC-1000A. You can help? the damaged resitances and the integrated circuit u1 I do not have their references. You could send me the reference of U1 and values of these resistances. Attached picture for you see the integrate circuits damaged.
I think it can be repaired. May be some capacitor or zener diode.
