I broke the part where one of the plastic line connected to the top of the gas tank it run from one side of the tank to the other side how do i fix this problem would this be a vapor line?
2006 saturn ion i was removeing the lock ring with a hammer and i accidently hit that line i am replacing the fuel pump assembly. do i have to have that line?

If the clip is fine that holds it on ...no
will i have gas fume or ordor with the line off the part is broke where the clip fit on the other part the clip is okay.
