I by fault put 1.5 quarts of oil to much in my 99 Cadillac deville and then I removed about 3.5 quarts. What do I need to do to get my car back the right way
Your car should have a dip stick that tells you where the oil level is. Use that to determine how much oil you need to add. Add 1 qt at a time until the oil appears on the dip stick, then add the oil slowly, checking the level until it is in the hash marks on the dip stick. If there is no dipstick, drain the oil and measure the oil using a gallon or quart containers and add the recommended amount. Remember there is already about 1 qt of oil in the filter.
