I cannot launch or reinstall Firefox
I cannot launch Firefox. Also I cannot uninstall or reinstall as it says I have to close Firefox first when it isn't open. Grateful for any advice, thank you. PS: Have been using Firefox for years, so it's not new to me.

Do the control atl. del. thing see if part of it is running. If you can't find it that way, Boot to safe Mode and try to install. Next and last you may have some Mal-ware in the cache keeping things from being un-installed. Try a program called Malwearbytes and scan the folder. It is a free program, it is a very good program.
Assuming you're using Windows, open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL). Click on firefox.exe in the Processes list, then click End Process, and Yes. Repeat for each instance of firefox.exe. Try running Firefox again, as you usually do. Didn't work/load? Uninstall and reinstall Firefox.
