I can't access my Facebook friend's profile
I can't access my Facebook friends profile and I know they haven't blocked me or deleted their account because I tried while I was talking to them. Is there a way to fix this?

It might happen, your friend may had unknowingly configured Facebook privacy settings in which the user can keep restrictions or block for other Facebook friends that cannot view the profile page or the information.
Ask your friend to once go through the Facebook privacy settings and un-check the restrictions.
